SLJ – Notan Art Step It UP

Today  I have done the Notan Art Step It Up challenge activity. For this activity I have based my theme at the beach as it is the Summer Season. To create and form my Notan Art I have used line tools as well as using shapes. I chose this theme because everyone needs time to relax and chill out at the beach.

Hope you have a fantastic day and God Bless!

  1. Kia ora Esterose,

It’s so awesome to see you are still blogging, awesome work.

I absolutely love your Notan design and I like how purposeful and thoughtful you were with your design. The summer theme is a great idea and very relevant. When I look at your Notan art it does make me think of the Pacific Islands. It makes me wish I was lying on the beach drinking coconut water out of a coconut and going for lots of swims to cool off from the blazing hot sun. Have you spent much time at the beach this summer?

The weather here in Christchurch has been up and down. One day summer, one day winterish. How has the weather been in Auckland?

Did you learn anything about Notan art? It’s always good to include things you have learnt in your description. I learnt from other students blogs that Notan art is the contrast between dark and light which reminded me a lot of Ying and Yang. Ying and Yang is the balance between dark and light and positive and negative which reminded me of Notan art. What do you think?

    Keep up the blogging Esterose.

your friend Jamie here! You have done a wonderful job at making your own Notan artwork. My favorite piece is the palm tree, it reminds me of my holiday in Hawaii. What is your favorite part of your artwork?

If I remember correctly, in Room 6 we have created a Notan Artwork using paper. Is there anything you remember or are reminded about when you did this activity?

Keep up the great work Esther, enjoy the rest of your holiday and God bless you and your family!!
    Your friend, Jamie
